Home Sale Numbers For Cody Wyoming

As we head towards the end of 2013 it is safe to say that this year the Cody real estate market has experienced a very positive increase in sales. At the time of this post, sales both in town and out of town have reached 243.  We are also noticing that sales prices are starting to head back up again.  This is a result of the reduction of inventory.  With fewer homes available buyers are competing for the same listings.

The broader market, across the U.S. also indicates home sales and prices are on the rise.

It should be noted that interest rates are also rising. Waiting to buy may not be the best strategy at this time.

If you want to find out more about the Cody market I am always available to help.

World Trade Center Back on Top - WSJ.com

As a native New Yorker and a patriot of the United States I am looking forward to a visit to the new World Trade Center.  I can still vividly remember September 11th and the complete disbelief in what was taking place.  I believe New York earned the bragging rights here.

Key Fixed Mortgage Rates Fall to 4-Month Low

We can thank the Federal Government shut-down for the decline in mortgage rates.  Although the rates are trending higher, and are expected to do so in the Spring of 2014, right now you can still buy your home for under 4.5%.  It probably won't get better than that any time soon.  If you'd like to learn more follow the link below.

Facts that may save your mortgage & credit...

It's not an embarrasement to say that you may have a mortgage that is "underwater".  This simply means your timing could have been better.  Some of us have purchased properties at the top of the market in 2006 and 2007.  If you bought in states like Florida or Nevada at that time, it's almost a given that you owe more than your property is worth.  This link may help you and may answer questions about refinancing.  The HARP Program is available to  many homeowners, so check it out.

Cody ranks as No. 9 best town under 35K | Wyoming Business Report

For those of us that live here, we know the beauty of our area.  Cody has so much more to offer than most  small towns, alot of that has to do with the people that live here.  Although Cody is a fair distance from our family, my daughter and I would not want to live anywhere else.  Vacation, yes.  During the winter months it's great to take a break at the beach but our hearts are in Cody for the long-term.
